Hi, my name is Christine (or Tin, whichever feels right) and I am looking for full time employment. I'm 27 years old, single, and don't have any children. I'm a tourist visa here in Canada and looking for an employer who can provide an LMIA. I can speak English and Tagalog, as I’m from Philippines. My interests include visual arts, singing, drawing, and watching movies. With younger children I love going for walks as a calm way to get some air and spend time outdoors/in nature. I love going on outings when I can, such as to get ice cream, parks, the library, beaches, etc. Building attachment through shared experiences has been very useful in my time in childcare. In the house I enjoy crafts and reading stories, as well as the occasional dance party. I grew up in a separated family, so I am very familiar with that dynamic, and am more than willing to work with any kind of family structure. :) I graduated from college with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Afterwards, I worked as an Elementary Teacher in the Philippines for a year, and also as a part-time Tutor. I subsequently completed a six-month Caregiver course where I received training in elderly and infant child care. I eventually decided to apply for a job in Dubai, UAE as a Kindergarten Teacher in an International School, where I worked for nearly three years. I am teacher for more than 4 years so if that counts then I have that experience taking care of children ages 2-10 years old. Despite my education and work experience, I am always open to improving my interpersonal skills. I am eager to learn new things and have a keen attention to details. I possess many attributes including self-motivation, resilience, adaptability, and meticulousness. I am determined and capable of working independently or as part of a team, demonstrating sound work ethics, and superb time management skills. My abilities also extend to building self-esteem, and of providing comfort and inspiration. I thrive in a respectful work environment as it fosters a safer and happier workplace.
