My name is Leah and I am a proud Vancouverite and mother of two wonderful young women. As a mother with over 26 years of experience in childcare and parenting, I cherish the joyous energy and infinite curiosity that children bring to every day. My love for kids extends to newborns and toddlers, and I am capable and enthusiastic about working with children of all ages. I am also comfortable with handling 3+ children. I am married to a supportive amazing man and we live in the Cambie Village area. My nurturing style is modelled around the concepts of the Conscious Parent/Caregiver. I know all children are individuals and must be treated as such, with respect and warmth. We learn so much from their wonder and awe when we pay attention. Besides my passion for children’s care, I am the CEO of my family’s small asset management company and run my own businesses. I am a professional Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist, an event coordinator. Being a mother myself, I understand the importance of supporting kids beyond just basic childcare. That’s why in addition to looking after your kids, I am also well equipped to perform assorted duties such as cooking, meal planning, keeping the kitchen clean, grocery shopping, preparing meals for kids and transporting the children. My love for the outdoors, exercise, yoga and my daily meditation practice keep me grounded and full of positive energy. I believe in creating an uplifting, fun and nurturing environment for your children. I love to bake and do art and crafts, sing an be silly. I am open to working in various roles such as a Nanny, Babysitter, Mother's Helper. My preference is for a Full-Time, Live-Out position, but am open to part time or family share. Apart from my wide range of experience, my passion and love for children, I also offer my incredible flexibility. I am available throughout the day, every day of the week from morning till night. I was a nanny for four children in 1997 (right out of high school) and for one baby girl in 2001. I did part-time babysitting one day a week in 2021 for a 2 year old boy. I am the mother of two daughters, Devon and Dylan now 23 and 18. My eldest is my step-daughter and I take over as her primary caregiver in 2002 when she was only 2 💗 I had my daughter in 2005. With my girls grown I am an now an empty Nester and I’m looking for part-time or full-time work with infants or young children. I was an active class parent and volunteer at their school for the 17 years we were there. I absolutely love children and animals and have over 20 years experience running a household.
