My name is Maia, within the last 6 months I moved from Ontario to Vancouver and am absolutely loving it here! A little bit about me, I am a person that values a schedule and a routine as it makes me feel my best self being organized. I move my body everyday whether that be the gym, yoga or walking my miniature dachshund dog named Buster. I am very close to my family and loved ones, I video chat with my family and friends back home often. I love the outdoors, being at the beach, going for trail walks, or even just relaxing outside in the sun. Cooking nutritious/delicious meals is something I genuinely enjoy. I love travelling as well! In Ontario I worked as a full time Intervenor for deaf/blind adults with disabilities. I also worked 2 part time jobs for the Sexual Assault Centre as a crisis support line and a Licensed Financial Advisor in Ontario. Now, I am pursuing my dream of entrepreneurship in Holistic Health and Wellness while being able to learn more and work online most of the time where I have flexibility which is awesome!

I have always loved working with kids since a young age! I got my babysitting licence as soon as I turned 12 years old where I started babysitting. I have always babysat periodically since age 12 and I am almost 23 years old now. I have worked in after school/daycare from infants to school agers for about 4 years, and for the same company I also worked as a Lifeguard for summer camps for 3 summers. I also was a Lifeguard and swim instructor for little kids mainly at another facility for 2.5 years. I also have 2 younger siblings that are 8 and 10 years old that I am very close with and have tons of experience with day to day needs in home settings as well. I really missed working with children especially since I've moved- my siblings they are the little loves of my life! I would love to build a bond with the children I babysit, they can learn just as much from us as we can learn from them.
