Served as a nanny for their family for 2 years until the kids were old enough to go to school. The following is a copy of a reference letter she wrote for me: Hello! We're one of the lucky families whose children Sarah Campbell cared for in the past two years. Sarah cared for our two children, our daughter from the age of 10 months to 2.5 years, and our son 2.5 to 4 years. Sarah worked for us two days a week, in our home, managing the care of the kids generally from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. She also provided after-school care for our eldest 10 year old son. The two youngest have entered preschool and kindergarten, so we reluctantly said goodbye to Sarah recently. Sarah's calm and patient demeanour was wonderful for my kids. My son is very animated and an incredibly picky eater, and Sarah was able to get both kids to nap and eat more calmly than they generally do for my husband and I! We live in downtown Collingwood, so she was able to take them by foot or bike on regular outings to places they could be active like the YMCA, the park or the beach, or to the Early Years Centre where they read stories and made crafts and so on. She also connected with other childcare providers to take the kids on longer outings to the Elmvale Zoo, Fernwood Farm, or parks further afield. At home, the kids played in the yard, made crafts and other art projects, baked muffins or read stories. During nap time, Sarah would help with the tasks at the home such as laundry or preparing dinner. We regularly gave thanks for her delicious pasta sauce. Sarah was flexible and reliable, often babysitting during evenings or staying late when we were unable to make it home on time. She provided overnight care a number of times when my husband and I were out of town and the kids were delighted - comfortable, safe, and happy. She worked with our kids on potty training, manners, pronunciation, and helped them get along nicely when it seemed with my husband and I, all they would do was fight.
