Hi my name is Meredith. I’m 25 and I recently graduated on the Deans Honours list in Environmental Science from Queen’s University. I’m a people person with strong interpersonal skills. I’m also very positive, creative and an ambitious individual.
I have long-standing experience working with children. My eight years of working at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in the Education and Program Department speaks to my knowledge and experience in this field. I also worked at Toronto's first Children's Museum, The Children's Discovery Centre. The centre is designed specifically for children aged 0 to 6 years, to play, create, explore and use their imagination. I love working with children and I’m excited to explore new opportunities. I have also nannied for toddlers ranging in age from 6 months to 4 years old.
While working at the Royal Ontario Museum (in their Summer Club Camp Programs), my tasks involved:
• Assisting children in full day hands-on art and science activities
• Organizing child appropriate games/activities, such as crafts during after-camp care
• Working one on one with children 5-16
• Supervising children during free time and lunches
• Corresponding daily with children’s parents to establish clear communications to benefit campers’ experiences
While working at the Children's Discovery Centre, my tasks involved:
• Organizing child-based programs, such as children birthday parties, for children 0-6
