Patient, caring, and able to anticipate the needs of children - I have it all.
I am an extremely patient person and have years of experience working with children. Putting the needs of children first and making that a top priority, when I am with them, is very important to me.
I have organized events for youth and children in church and looked after kids of friends and neighbors for ever since I can remember. I love children and working with them and from experience I can confidently say that most children I have worked with would say the same about me..
I believe that it is extremely important to be aware of one's actions and words around children as they watch and learn from the adults in their lives, and as such I make sure that I always set a good example for them even if it is something as simple as putting things away or always using the "magic words" i. e. 'please', 'thank you' and 'sorry'.
I am always respectful, courteous and very organized.
I am very flexible and friendly. As well I am a quick learner and pick up new things easily; so if I have to learn new tasks or new ways of doing things that I already know, I am definitely willing to do so.
I have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology & Anthropology including over 2 years of psychology at the University level which covered Child psychology as well.
I love to read, go for long walks, be close to nature, visit places of interest around the city, and ride my bike when the weather is nice.
My family and friends are very important to me and when I am not working I love to spend time with them.
I spend at least a few hours every month volunteering and have worked for more than a year at WoodGreen Community Services including organizing a kid's corner at their annual events. I love animals, and pets in a home are absolutely no problem.
I am multilingual - fluent in English, Hindi and speak some French
.
I have looked after neighbors and friends children for hours at a time, including:
Fed them their meals and saw that they had their afternoon nap
Gave them snacks
Kept them occupied with various activities - played with toys, puzzles, clay and fun games
Read out stories and poems to them
