Everyone calls me Cherry, 43 years of age, married with 2 children ages 5 and 18 mos. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I have taught few years back home before I went abroad to give childcare services to different families of different nationalities. I have been in this field for over 23 years including my experiences here in Canada and abroad. I have learned a lot of things from all my experiences as a childcare provider. I am a kind honest person, hardworking, dedicated, compassionate, responsible, consistent, reliable, trustworthy and flexible type of person. I am very dedicated to my job and knows how to address every situation with care and compassion. I just loved to look after children, give them love, communicate with them, protect and make sure they are safe, happy and comfortable. I took up Personal Support Worker course in 2022 and graduated September 2023. I had an experience looking after elderly with different needs in a facility during my internship. As a person support worker, I would loved also to experience working with elderly specially those who are in need of my services, I seek to provide support and high-quality care to elderly patients while ensuring a safe and positive home environment. I also seek to find involvement in elderly care setting that will help and give me an opportunity to deliver, share and expand my knowledge about what I have learned in my course and to obtain a permanent job in a progressive environment where I can share my skills at the same time to be trained for the benefit of the community. I also love to cook thou am not a really good cook. I love sports also like swimming, volleyball and basketball. I love to hang out with good friends, watch movies, and most of the time preferred to be alone at home and chat with my husband and families back home and do movie marathon.
My duties and responsibilities as a child care provider include: For newborns: - Providing care for babies, watching, giving and attending to their needs and securing their safety. Care for infants include feeding, bathing and changing diapers. Being attentive to the newborns is really important as they require close supervision. For toddlers: - Providing them care and attention. Close supervision and attentiveness is required and needed. Duties include giving basic care for the child, setting examples, disciplining the child in a gentle way, cooking, feeding and preparing food for them, playing, dressing, changing their diapers, putting them for a nap, giving them a bath, reading books and singing songs with them, bring them to the park and playdates. It is merely important to secure their safety. For preschoolers: - Providing them care, require more attention and discipline. Close supervision and attentiveness is required and needed. Duties include giving basic care for the child, setting examples, disciplining the child in a gentle way, cooking, feeding and preparing food for them, playing, dressing and giving them a bath, reading books and singing songs with them, bringing them to the park and playdates, dropping them off and picking them up from school. It is merely important to secure their safety.
