Hello! My name is Lahreena! I am a 19-year-old college student about to obtain her diploma in the Social Service Worker program from George Brown College. I have also recently applied for my bachelor's degree in social work (wish me luck!!). I have worked with children as a babysitter since I was 14 years old. As the years progressed, I became a Part/Full-Time ECA at two childcare centers. I am known to be funny, cheerful, warm, caring and attentive. I am seeking a position allowing me to have flexible hours as I complete school. I am a very clean person. Even if you don't ask me to, your house/apartment will get cleaned somehow (with respect to your boundaries)! I can and have experience creating programs and fun activities for children of all ages, following dietary restrictions and religious beliefs, changing diapers, bathtime, cleaning, laundry, sanitization and much more! I have worked as a babysitter since I was 14 years old. I then volunteered at a Preschool & Daycare named Tiny Explorers Academy from 2021-2022 at age 17. In the summer of 2022, I began working as an ECA at Tiny Explorers Academy Part-Time and Full-Time. I moved on from TEA for school and have done seasonal work at another Preschool and Daycare Named Angelic Treasure in the winter of 2023. I currently work as a babysitter and ECA (supply teacher), which fits my schedule better. While working as a full/part-time ECA, I have worked under a 1-5 ratio for toddlers, a 1-3 ratio for infants and a 1-8 for preschoolers. I have also worked with an app called HiMama, now known as Lillio, where I logged and kept track of what multiple children have eaten and how much, what activities they have done, and what part of their mind or body serve (with pictures) and when they slept and for how long, every day. I also changed diapers, initiated potty training, prepared bottles, snacks, and food, washed dishes, sanitized and cleaned the classrooms, filled out paperwork and necessary logs, facilitated and created programs and circle times, supported children during nap time, took children out for community walks and recreational activities. I have also worked alongside parents to ensure that any learning, nutritional, social, or religious needs and goals are met while their child is in my care. While working as a babysitter, I have worked with families in their homes since I was 14 years old. I have also aided in caring for family pets during vacation or outing times. I have always been able to follow parents'/guardian's needs and instructions as their child(rens) healthy development is crucial. This would include sleeping schedules, feeding routines, dietary restrictions, medication administration (EpiPen, Inhalour, antibiotics, etc) and more. I also have my certification in Anaphylaxis training and CPR/First Aid/AED training. I can cook, although (I wish) sadly, I am not as skilled as Gordon Ramsey. I am very clean, and I do enjoy cleaning. If and when I find the time, I will always clean the kitchen, living room or any spaces you may feel comfortable with me doing so. I have worked with children ages 0-12 and can adapt to all age groups. I have created programs for children to stimulate the growth of their cognitive, physical and emotional development. I am cheerful, warm, kind, attentive, fun and organized. I thrive and work well with routine but can work diligently in every environment and situation. Overall, I enjoy giving children from all walks of life opportunities to grow and thrive, which shows through my work.
