With hands-on experience in various childcare environments—including my volunteer work at Lullaboo, student placement at Riverdale Childcare Centre, and paid experience at Waldorf Childcare—I bring a strong foundation in child development, program support, and a deep passion for nurturing young children in safe, engaging environments. At Lullaboo, I volunteered alongside RECEs, helping with daily routines, transitions, and supervising children in indoor and outdoor play. I supported children’s emotional and physical needs while encouraging positive interactions. During my placement at Riverdale, I had the opportunity to observe and implement play-based learning aligned with the ELECT framework and HDLH. I helped guide small group activities, supported children's independence, and worked closely with families and educators to foster a respectful, inclusive classroom. At Waldorf Childcare, where I currently work as an ECA, I assist with the daily program by helping with meal times, hygiene routines, circle time, and documentation. I actively support the RECEs in creating a calm, rhythmic environment that promotes curiosity, belonging, and well-being. I am familiar with the Child Care and Early Years Act, City of Toronto’s AQI standards, and centre policies. I use professional judgment in my daily work, ensure health and safety practices are followed, and value strong communication with coworkers and families.
