I'm a bit of a cocktail, born in the States but raised in Dubai. My dad is Kenyan and my mom is Emirati. I'm the oldest of five, and my siblings range from my twin brother to our youngest, who's 11 and, as you might guess, my favorite (he's got us all wrapped around his little finger, and he knows it). I speak English and Arabic and currently in the process of learning Swahili, which is my dad’s mother language. Growing up, I was surrounded by children, and it's safe to say I've got a soft spot for them. I'm very social and outgoing! I am also very patient, thanks to little ones in my life. They have a way of teaching you the importance of understanding and taking things at their own pace. I'm a business management student with a focus on marketing and sales. I love to stay active! I love to read and listen to podcast, gotta soak up all that knowledge! Family is everything to me, I currently live with my two brothers (They both go to York University). I made it my mission to visit my grandparents every weekend. I spent a few years working as a hairstylist, and curly hair is my specialty since I'm a proud curly girl myself.

Throughout my life, I've gained valuable experience caring for children. My journey began when my aunt, facing a difficult situation, moved in with my family. She had two children and was pregnant with a third, and with no other support, I took on the responsibility of caring for them, one was an infant and the other was a toddler. I would feed, bathe, change diapers, and put them to sleep. Living with them, I became their primary caregiver for many years. In another experience, I had the opportunity to care for my younger brother. My stepmother became pregnant in her 40s, and I played a major role in looking after my baby brother, especially when we traveled. Drawing from my previous experience, I found it easy to care for him. Today, he's 11 years old and my best friend! It's crazy to think back to when he was just the size of a football when I first met him.

I am currently in my Bachelor’s program expected to finish in 2 years.
