Cared for seven-month old baby and two-year-old child two to four days per week for one year. Both children are now toilet trained, verbally adept with both english and french skills, and they are ready to go on to the next stage of their development. They are off to preschool and daycare this fall! During my service, I was responsible for the well-being of the children while they were under my care, ensuring that they were dressed daily, their clothing was clean and worn correctly. I cooked nutritious meals, fed the children and reported what was eaten to the parents daily. I cleaned the kitchen counters, floors, tables and dishes afterward. I supervised nap times and reporting to the parents daily. While the children were sleeping, I did laundry and other household tasks. I also insured the family cat had food, water, and a clean litter box, also keeping track of her when she went outside and ensuring that she got back inside safely. I ensured the children had enriching and creative indoor activities such as painting, story time, play-doh creations, and sing songs with the physical actions going with the song. Outdoor play was an important part of our daily routine and the children played outside at least twice a day; either water play or going for walks to the park. We always made time for going outside!
