My name is Cyndy and I trained as a nanny many years ago and have had some wonderful nanny jobs. I have also trained to be a ESL (English) teach and taught in Japan and in Toronto. I have trained as an art therapist and worked with kids and families. But I always come back to being a nanny. Why? Because I love it and I am very good at it. I enjoy looking after infants and helping parents feel comfortable doing so as well. I know how to make homemade baby food and to set up feeding and sleep schedules that work for each family as they need. I enjoy singing and dancing with kids of all ages, doing art and crafts, going on walks to the park, library or play group. Where there was no play group in the area I did start one, with the parents permission, in their home. As kids get older I like to take them on visits to the fire station and police stations, and longer outings. I must point out I do all this without a driver's license, we all just get really good at taking the bus and walking! I am open to parents who work at home and grandparents who want to visit. Outside of work, I live in my own house with my dog Timmy. Like to read, work on my doll house and miniatures, knit and cook, and grow herbs and tomatoes in pots. Oh, and play with Timmy and take him on long walks. I always feel looking after someone's child/ren is a privilege as it requires great trust on the parents part and I would do anything to maintain the safety of any child in my care.
