My name is Jana. I am a fun, creative, gentle, outdoorsy, musical, patient, flexible, dedicated, punctual, positive & compassionate woman. I have completed the following St. John's First Aid training course: Emergency Community Care Certificate (CPR level B which includes Infant CPR). I also have my Food Safe Certificate & love healthy cooking. I strongly believe in guiding children to be the best that they can be and encourage this through asking them questions that give them the opportunity to find their own answers. I also believe that maintaining a safe, healthy & positive environment is important for children's growth. I am looking forward to finding the family(s) that fits well with me: available for a part time nanny position starting asap & may have more time opening up in the near future.

I have looked after children (20 plus years) as well as taught music to children of all ages in classes as well as private piano/theory lessons, organized music master classes & exams for the Royal Conservatory of Music (10 plus years). I love going to the library for story time, cooking for children, playing, making crafts & having lot's of creative time, music time (singing special songs with their name in it), walking in forest/trails/beach, going to parks to play on swings, etc., visiting Heritage Train Park, driving them to their activities and either watching and/or participating (depending of age), reading books & speaking with children about the books, completing homework & asking children skillful age appropriate questions, etc. I love aiding in building children's confidence by listening, communicating (using our words & feeling our feelings) & being positive with them. Children grow by allowing them to be their own person. So, I guide them to be the best them & allow them to empower themselves :)
