Kaila A.
I am looking for a time filler and believe I can give a few parents some much needed and greatly deserved time off. I have many years of childcare experience. Starting from a very young age I started my journey with CHANCES (Caring, Helping, And Nurturing, Children Every Step) a non-profit, charitable organization, that exists to provide a range of child development. and parent support services to children from 0-11 years and their families, particularly those experiencing additional life challenges. I have since been very active in my community doing things such as volunteering at events, babysitting, house sitting, pet sitting, household cleaning and much more. I am 23 years old and have been working in a retirement home specifically with dementia aswell as a group home with developmentally disabled individuals for the last 2 years.
I have spent the last 6 years of my life working, learning and getting as much experience as possible. I started off young volunteering anywhere I could, babysitting, childcare facilities, foodbanks and soup kitchens. In my later teens I hopped around for a bit with jobs trying to find what I really loved to do. With years of soul searching, I finally found it. I am a certified personal support worker and recently graduated developmental support worker. 4 years of experience working in retirement home specifically with dementia, as well as grouphomes with developmentally disabled individuals. I love my job, I love who I get to share this experience with, they really make it all so much more worth it. I have found what makes me happy.
