I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator. Before that I worked as a Sunday school teacher and a babysitter for families. My educational philosophy is that children learn best through play. Additionally, I know that for children to be engaged in learning they have to feel safe and secure in their surroundings and caregivers. I know that young children thrive on routine and pride myself on being able to provide that. I also know that when working with young children that one must also be flexible. Through my experience and education as an educator I have developed skills for caring for and guiding young children. I am great at observing and documenting children’s growth, development, interests, and achievements. I enjoy working with children and their families to develop meaningful relationships. I am patient, kind, and empathetic; I pride myself on being able to put children at ease. I love children. My personal philosophy follows closely with the R.I.E. method. I like to set up a room and let the children explore on their own. I make caregiving moments like feeding, diapers changes, and sleep time moments for attachment. My favorite part of the day is singing babies to sleep.
