As the oldest sibling among three children in my family, I found myself shouldering responsibilities from a young age. It fell upon me not only to care for my younger sisters but also to undertake various tasks around the house. It was a role I assumed when I was just about 10 years old, but it taught me a lot about responsibility, maturity, and care.
In terms of personal hobbies and interests, I am deeply drawn towards art in all its myriad forms. Two particular forms
that I am most passionate about are pottery and writing.
I appreciate pottery for its ability to transform a simple lump of clay into a piece of beauty. I find this activity therapeutic, meditative and satisfying. It is the pleasure of creating something with my own hands, giving form to an idea that was once in my mind.
Writing, too, allows me to articulate my thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a way that nothing else can. It provides a medium for me to channel my creativity, process my thoughts, and engage with the world in a unique way.
Reading, on the other hand, offers an entirely different kind of pleasure. It allows me to escape from reality and delve into different worlds, meet various characters, and explore alternative perspectives. I not only enjoy the exercise of reading for its entertainment value but also for the wealth of knowledge and broader worldview it provides.
I have experience babysitting toddlers from family friends and I am used to dealing with toddlers because I have some cousins of that age. I would also babysit for neighbours with children under 11. I can cook meals if needed.
I am currently a university student at University of Ottawa in Classical studies with a minor in creative writing. I am also bilingual, I speak both French and English fluently.
