As the eldest of three siblings, as well as being one of the eldest of 21 cousins, I have cared for young children from the early age of 12. Naturally, I would become a registered Early Childhood Educator. Over the past 16 years I have cared for and educated children ranging in age from 6 months to 12 years. As a RECE I have the knowledge, tools, and passion for helping young children develop a strong foundation of skills that will prepare children to be life long learners. I encourage inclusivity, curiosity, exploration, and self empowerment. I am a strong believer that children should be in the drivers seat of their own learning; using emergent curiculum, inquiry based learning and reggio influenced teaching practices. Last December I became a mother to an amazing little girl and with our current climate am looking for a place that allows me to exercise my passion for early learning and keep my little one out of daycare but still leaves room for social interaction with other children. As a mother, I understand the importance of providing a nurturing environment that fosters communication and allows children to embrace their emotions to learn how to process and regulate them. I have mastered time management and am happy to do meal prep and light housekeeping. I have worked as a nanny for 2 families over the last 10 years and have cultivated life long relationships with said families. More recently I have worked as a preschool teacher, responsible for a classroom of 26 children.

I am a mother of two young children; a 3.5 year old girl who will be starting school in September and a 5 week old baby girl. With the current cost of living, I am looking to work a few hours a week to supplement maternity leave while my eldest is in school. This would mean the wee one and I would be a package deal. As a mother, I understand the importance of providing a nurturing environment that fosters communication and allows children to embrace their emotions to learn how to process and regulate them. I have worked as a nanny for 3 families over the last 10 years and have cultivated life long relationships with said families. More recently I have worked as a toddler teacher, responsible for a classroom of 15 children at Bulldog Kids in Barrie.

I am a registered Early Childhood Educator that actively participates in professional and personal development workshops, I will be happy to provide a full list on request. I have all necessary first aid and CPR certificates including AED training.
