My name is Katlynn and I am a 21-year-old university student. I am currently enrolled at Brock University and will be completing my Child and Youth Studies degree in April 2023. In September 2023, I will be going back to school to complete my Bachelor of Education degree to become a teacher. I am looking for a nanny position for the summer months (May-August) that can also extend later on depending on my class schedule starting September 2023. I have enjoyed my nanny positions in the past and have gained great relationships with the children and their families and was always sad to say goodbye. I enjoy arts and crafts, reading, baking, and going on walks/adventures. My program inspires me every day to work with children and become the best role model I can be in their lives. My experiences have inspired me to become a caring teacher in the near future. I have a police check I obtained in December 2022 for my current placement, I am CPR certified since December 2020 and I am fully vaccinated.

Co-op (January - June 2018) - I completed a co-op position in a grade 3 classroom as a teacher's assistant. I was in charge of helping students complete their homework, marking, and organizing lesson plans.   S. N. A. P Program (Physical Education Program for children with special needs from September-December 2019) - I completed 12 hours of the S. N. A. P program in my first term at Brock University. I organized physical activities and games for children with various disabilities. Online Tutor (2020-present) - I am currently an online tutor on the platform Preply as an ESL tutor. I teach children from 5-12 years old, lesson plans, and meet their individual goals. Live-Out Summer Nanny (July & August 2021) -I was a nanny for two children aged 9 and 12 years old. I planned activities with them and participated in sports, games, and arts and crafts. Live-Out Summer Nanny (May-August 2022) - I was a nanny for an infant (1-year-old). I played with him, organized educational activities, fed and took care of his basic needs. Teacher's Assistant (January 2023-April 2023) - I am a teacher's assistant in a grade 1 classroom as part of my university program. I assist them with their homework and teach them valuable responsibilities.

I graduated high school in 2019 and went to Brock for my BA in Child and Youth Studies. In September 2023, I will be completing my BEd to become a teacher.
