Hi there! I'm Hala and I'm here to make your life a little easier in any way I can :) I come from a close-knit family and I'm the oldest of four siblings. Family is important to me, and my experiences in a large family have contributed to my understanding and enjoyment of caring for children. I am currently single and do not have children. I'm a big fan of playing any sports, especially badminton and soccer. When I'm not on the field, you might catch me knitting for a bit of relaxation. I'm also a gamer and enjoy getting lost in video games. Balancing the active with the chill, I love reading and catching up on the latest shows. I would describe myself as very flexible and ready to adapt to different situations. For example, while I might not have experience with newborns, I am eager to learn and willing to undergo any training needed to become a skilled babysitter. Reliability and independence are crucial to me, and I take pride in being someone others can count on. I am looking for extra income while being a full-time student and I thought I’d do that through babysitting because I adore children!

Although I may not have formal babysitting experience, I have gained valuable insights and capabilities through other roles that I believe are directly transferable to this position. During my Cooperative Education course, I served as a Teacher Assistant in a virtual elementary school, supporting Grade 3 students. This role involved close collaboration with classroom teachers in the creation of lesson plans and presentations, contributing to the students' learning experience in a virtual setting. The experience enhanced my organizational and communication skills within an educational context. In my role as a coach at the Oakville Soccer Club's Breaking Barriers program, I organized and led activities for 30 children with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. This experience allowed me to demonstrate effective communication skills, as I explained soccer concepts and adapted my coaching style to accommodate the diverse learning needs of individual players. In addition to my professional experiences, I am the oldest of four siblings, and I come from a large family with numerous children. Growing up in such an environment has given me extensive practical experience in caring for and interacting with children of various ages. My responsibilities at home have included ensuring their safety, organizing activities, and providing the support and guidance needed for their well-being.

Currently completing my Honours Bachelor Degree at McMaster University and in my third-year of a four year program majoring in Life Sciences.
