I have many years of experience in childcare. My childcare day care experience was working at OK before and After Daycare supervising the activities of 37 children ages 4 to 11. I was engaged in arts and sports activities with the children. I supervised all the children during playtime and ensured they did not get hurt while playing. The children were comfortable asking me questions about any complainants they have, and I try to make sure they are listened to. I always ensured I adhered to the organizational policies and standards in terms of the children's behavioural management as well. I get along with my coworkers and I assist them anytime it is needed. I also worked as a Child Care Provider for the Peguis CFS, Child & Family Services Company, which is mandated to provide programs and services to protect children and families. I was assigned to a family to help the grandparents look after 4 children. I was fortunate to work with the children from newborns (2 newborn twin girls), a girl aged 2, and a boy aged 7. I was competent in looking after the children and carrying out my duties to ensure the children are kept safe from any unsafe objects in their home. I did not receive any complaints from the grandparent after working with the family. I was given rules to follow regarding mealtime and nap time for the kids. Furthermore, I have also worked as a child care provider/ babysitter for families in their homes at the aspoonfullofsugarchildminders, where I helped parents with full time jobs look after their children. What Child Care means to me Childcare means making sure that your presence with the children will meet their needs emotionally and socially by making the children happy when interacting with them during playtime and doing my best to ensure that the children are learning and expressing themselves in their own way through play and other activities. Some of the activities I do often while looking after the children includes, reading storybooks to the kids, feeding newborns with their formula milk of the parents’ choice, ensuring the kids have their noon nap time, changing diapers, changing their clothes when needed, assisted the kids to brush their teeth and changing them into their pajamas to sleep at night. I also read books to kids and engage in little sporting activities and kiddies games that are fun for the children.
