I come from a pretty big family with me being the oldest kid, so I was always the designated babysitter. I have been watching over my siblings since I was 11, and kids outside of my family since I was 13. I have 4 gorgeous siblings, Hailey - 19, Elliott- 17, Taylor - 13, and Olivia - 6.
I will be attending college/University to in the next few years (start date is to be determined) to get my Educational assistant certificate!
I am a fast leaner, eager and hard worker, and a caring/patient caregiver/leader. I've been training staff with disabilities, or the younger generation at work since I was 16, and have a passion for kids of all ages. My dream is to become the safe haven for children in school, whether that is for elementary or high school students.
When I'm not working or spending time with family, you'll often find me laying on my couch and reading a good book. Aside from reading, I love to cook and bake, draw and colour, listen to music and sing (although I'm not a great singer, so cover your ears), I love photography, painting, and going on long walks to Starbucks.
In terms of qualifications, I have the following;
- Class 7 license and my own vehicle (happy to send over a driving abstract)
- food save level one
- occupational level one first aid
- experience with children of all ages (especially children under 4), I'm comfortable with food restrictions or any disabilities
- experience and basic knowledge of animals (especially dogs and cats - I used to be an assistant manager at a pet store so I know some things)
For the past 9 years I have been helping friends and families with their children. I was a nanny in high-school two times a week, and in the year of 2019 and 2020, I was a live in nanny for an Italian family.
I am very experienced in children of all ages, even newborns.
