I'm Catherine, a proud Montreal resident about to retire from a fulfilling 35-year career in preschool education. Being highly educated and equipped with a B.A. from Concordia in Child Studies, I am passionate about fostering an enriching environment for children that's full of growth, exploration and love. I am fluent in English, French and even Greek. Additionally, my extensive background has allowed me to cater to diverse age groups ranging from newborns to kids above 10 years. Understanding the fact that parents, educators and childcare providers are instrumental in a child's development, I believe in encouraging children through play, while building their self-esteem and fostering appropriate behaviors. I am open to live-out, part-time assistance or occasional help as needed - you set the pace! My services will extend beyond just watching your children, I'm here to lend a hand with light housekeeping, preparing meals for kids, transport, assistance with homework, and adhering to special dietary needs. Though my teaching days are behind me, my heart is deeply set on continuing my journey with children and their families. My availability is flexible and widespread as I am open all weekdays, from mornings to evenings, where I can offer support within or outside your home. Please note that I only do day/evening shifts, with no overnight shift unless occasional. I am confident in my ability to travel for work, but I must clarify that I don't have a vehicle that can be used on the job. Comfortable working with a maximum of two children at a time, I am also qualified to work with children with disabilities. I can assure you of my work-permit status, and that I am a non-smoker, and I am willing to obtain a police background check and present my CPR certificate upon request.
