Lenia D.
I am Lenia, a dedicated and experienced nanny based in Montreal. With a background in Early Childhood Education and professional training in Waldorf education, I offer a respectful, holistic approach to childcare that fosters independence and emotional balance. I have 8 years of experience in the field and a range of skills, from everyday routines to creative play and storytelling. My additional experience as a mother deeply enriches my understanding of children's emotional and developmental needs. My flexible availability includes morning and mid-day shifts from Monday through Friday. Although I don't have a driver's license, I am also a proficient swimmer and can efficiently work with children with disabilities. My desired employment status is part-time. In terms of duties, I am prepared to undertake a wide spectrum of responsibilities including, but not limited to, light housekeeping, preparing meals for children, laundry, homework help, pet care, and maintaining a tidy kitchen. I have worked with children of various ages, starting from newborns to 9 years old, and can comfortably manage up to two children at a time. I hold a high school education, a Bachelor's degree, as well as relevant training such as certified nanny training, infant/toddler educator certificate, and CPR training from a college. I am fluent in English, French, and Spanish, which can facilitate a multilingual learning environment for the children. Regarding my job preferences, I am open to roles such as a nanny, mother's helper, babysitter, and nanny/housekeeper. While I prefer short-term engagements, I ensure a dedicated and nurturing involvement throughout our time together. Rest assured, I have a clean police check and, though I hold citizenship outside of Canada, I am fully eligible for work. I look forward to becoming a trusted ally in your family's routine and ensuring a nurturing, creative, and structured environment for your children.
I have hands-on experience caring for children through both my professional background and my role as a parent. I am trained as an educator (AEC) and have additional training and work experience in Waldorf education, which deeply informs my approach to childcare. I support children in their daily routines, including meals, hygiene, rest, and play, with a focus on creating a calm, structured, and nurturing environment. My approach values rhythm, creativity, and respect for each child’s developmental stage. I enjoy engaging children in creative, hands-on activities such as crafts, storytelling, and imaginative play, encouraging autonomy and emotional well-being. I am patient, attentive, and responsible, and I understand the importance of building trust with both children and parents.
