I recently moved to Montreal from Calgary, AB where I was working as a family and youth counsellor. I moved to Montreal because I wanted to learn French! I have 2 great passions in life, one is for mental health and child care, the other is for travelling! I am an active person who loves going on hikes and I love to scuba dive as well. I enjoy taking on new challenges and I hold myself to the standard of always going above and beyond!

I grew up caring for my sister who is 10 years younger than myself. Throughout high school I regularly babysat her and ensured all her needs were being met. Along with that as I grew in my career, I spent a year working with children under 12 who exhibited high risk behaviours and have experienced trauma. This job along with my educational background gave me great insights on how to understand children and work with them on their level to create healthy relationships. I was responsible for all jobs food related and have proven to be able to create healthy and enjoyable meals for children. In this job I typically worked alongside 2-3 other people in the home with 8 children in our care, however I would regularly take groups between 1-3 out independently.

I have a 2 year diploma in human services where I studied multiple subjects including early childhood educations, childhood development, and disability studies.
