Hi! My name is Nellie, and I am from Vermont, USA. I study sociology at Concordia University. I previously studied early childhood development and elementary education in Vermont, before transferring to Concordia this fall. Growing up in Vermont, I learned to love all things active and outdoors. In the summer you can find me exploring new lakes, hiking, biking, and attending farmers markets. I am a social person who loves to meet new people, explore new places, and build long-lasting connections. I am driven, reliable, and passionate about the work I do. I would love to work with your family to create a positive environment for your children.
I am a certified lifeguard, as well as a competitive swim coach and swim instructor. I have been very involved in my community coaching swimming and teaching lessons for over three years. It has been amazing to help children learn to swim and watch them grow as individuals. I have also worked as a substitute teacher, behavior interventionist, and para educator since 2021 (on and off between semesters). This opportunity has allowed me to work with a wide age range of students with varying needs. It has enhanced my skills of responsibility, creativity, and my ability to adapt to new challenges. I started babysitting when I was 14, since then I have worked with multiple families, on a regular basis, to provide quality care for their children. Some frequent activities with these families has been, day trips to lakes/beaches, hiking, mountain biking, cooking, crafting, and playing board games! I have experience with children of all ages, energy levels and personalities. I find a lot of joy spending time with kids and watching them grow. I am an active person and I love to share my hobbies with others! Not only can I assure safety, responsibility, and reliability, but I can also assure plenty of fun, creativity, learning and adventures with your children!
