I'm a mom and experienced childcare provider looking for a part-time nanny position. I enjoy reading, writing, and hiking in my downtime, and have a daily meditation and yoga practice. In addition to kids, I get along well with dogs, cats, and other family pets.

I'm the proud mom of a 10-year-old girl. She was born with a cleft lip and paIate, and consequently, I stayed home with her for the first two years of her life. I have prior experience teaching ESL classes to kids from age five to 15, and in my teens (a lifetime ago, granted) I did a ton of part-time childcare, and even volunteered at an after-school daycare. Since being laid off from a high-stress job as an editor, I've re-examined my priorities and made some changes in the trajectory of my career. Curently, I'm pursuing a certificate as a mindfulness meditation teacher, building an online business, and returning to childcare part-time. I would say the most important things when it comes to relating to little ones are kindness and respect. Too often adults forget that kids are people too! My approach involves exploration and discovery through play, but the foundation I build on is one of courtesy and caring. I have a driver's licence, and will be updating my first-aid training in mid April.
