I am currently a Developmental Services Worker finishing up my behavioural Sciences Bachelor Degree and BCaBA (Behavioural Therapist Certification). I work with individuals of all ages providing any supports they might have need. I specialize in children, and have experience working with multiple children at once both with or without disabilities. I have a background in pharmacology, and work closely with behavioural modification, medically fragile, or complex care individuals. I am qualified to attend medical appointments and assist with any therapies sent home as well as tutoring both developmentally typical (mainstream children grades 1-5) and developmentally modified education plans and any accommodation. I come with a long list of specialized training which qualifies me to preform a vast number of supports safely including medication administration and the implementation of IEP, ISP or BSP goals at home. I am certified in Standard First Aid at an HCP (health care professional) level I am happy to provide document for any requests including vulnerable sector police record check. FOR TUTORING - I can tutor English from grade 1 to University level as is my background, I will only tutor math from grades 1 to 5, I can tutor in any subject in regards to researching, citations, formatting and outlines/drafts ect so long as the student has a good grasp on the verbal instructions from being in class, I can assist in strategizing and enhance learning for children with unique learning challenges such as dyslexia, LD, anxiety, ADHD ect. In areas such as spelling, writing, comprehension and alternative learning methods/ strategies (if the student is struggling with learning from the way they are taught in the classroom). Students or parents must be prepared with a thorough understanding of the assignment being worked on as I can only help if I have all the information instructed in class relayed to me correctly. Alternatively, I am always open to tutoring students with disabilities in accordance with their IEP goals and am happy to modify mainstream classwork sent home in order to complete it at the level that your child is currently learning at.
