My name is Tanya and I have an extensive child care background, with some wonderful children and their parents. In 2009 I was employed as a childcare assistant at Medicine Hat Community Pre School, working with 12 months - 6 years of age, for five and a half years. I love children, they're unfiltered, imaginative and pure at heart, it's inspiring. At home I enjoy crafting, sewing, creating functional home decor and baking among other things. I earned a certificate of Early Childhood Education at Medicine Hat College in 2010. Along with a diploma in Administration in 2018. Recently, before COVID 19, I was employed as an administrator at a clinic two and half years, giving me time to reflect on going back to work in a different avenue of child care. Private in home child care is what I would like to pursue presently, getting to know your family and look after your children would be a wonderful opportunity. I've been babysitting since I was ten years old and able to get my certificate. During high school I had several repeat clients and steady work most evenings and weekends, taking care of up to five children per sitting, enough that I never needed a more conventional "teen" job. After graduating, I studied Early Childhood Education at Medicine Hat College and plunged into a career in the preschool sector. I was constantly learning and growing my skills at this time, attending workshops and conferences, taking university level art therapy courses, and continuing to babysit on the side. I've taken some years off to try my hand at other fields, but I am ready to get back to what I know and love.
