Hi, my name is Keira! Despite my young age, I possess a significant amount of experience working with youth (for more details, please check out my experience description!). I have always desired to build a career working with children and plan to pursue an undergraduate degree in psychology to pave the way for a career in social work. Currently, I'm in my final year of high school. However, having fast-tracked math, I find myself a bit ahead of the game. This accelerated pace provides me with a few free periods this year, granting me extra free time. I utilize this free time to complete my homework and projects during school, which allows me to allocate my time after school to other tasks. In addition to my academics, I am a part of my school's senior band which has practice every Tuesday night. Therefore, I am unavailable on Tuesday evenings. Besides that, I am usually free after school, though my availability may sometimes vary due to concerts, extra practice sessions, or special school events like prom. I don't have any other commitments to tie me down. And if required, I am also available on weekends! If you're in search of a babysitter for the after-school hours or for evenings, I hope you'll consider me. I have previously worked with kids and have done quite a commendable job. I also have experience in cooking, and can accommodate different food restrictions or dietary needs. If needed, I can assist with chores around the house, including cleaning, laundry, among others.

From 2017-2019 I use to housesit for my neighbours whenever they went on vacation. This involved making sure there were no intruders, watering and taking care of their plants, as well as medicating, playing with and feeding their cats. The most amount of time they were away for was up to 3 weeks. Since 2021 I have worked with a youth organization throughout the school year on weekends and throughout the entire summer. During the summer I'd teach kids how to sail, where they would live onboard from anywhere between 4-12 days. I was in charge of their safety and wellbeing. I delt with a variety of kids who had extreme phobias and fears, severe allergies, mental illnesses, dietary restrictions and more. I am certified in First Aid and CPR.
