I am Elizabeth, a 20-year-old political science student currently minoring in French. Although I was born in America, I grew up in Canada and hold both cultures dear to my heart. I feeI lucky to have been raised by a single, independent mother alongside my older sister. Currently, I reside with my mother and our two beloved pet cats, Suki and Momo. Having spent five years as a nanny, I am familiar with all aspects of childcare - from cooking and light housekeeping to running errands, grocery shopping, and tutoring. My skills extend to children's laundry, meal preparations tailored specifically for kids, and even some pet care. I find it easy to connect with children and feel comfortable working with various age groups ranging from 3-5, 6-9, and over 10 years old. At a time, I can care for up to three children. My availability spans across the week with more flexibility for the weekends. I am ready to start immediately and can work either full or part-time. I prefer a live-out arrangement. I am a non-smoker and have a driver's license along with a vehicle which could be used for work, if necessary. My career aspirations revolve around becoming an immigration lawyer or working in foreign affairs. At present, I volunteer at the Reception House in Kitchener, an institution that aids families newly settled in Canada. Outside academia and work, I enjoy reading, cleaning, socializing, and, of course, taking care of children. Being fluent in English, French, and Spanish, I am also in the process of learning Arabic owing to my interest in languages. Although I have never worked for a company that employees nanny's, I have worked with children across mutual family friends and nieces and nephew's for many years. I am willing to get my first aid certificate if wanted by family.
