I am a very fun-loving and strong-willed individual. I always prefer to be outdoors rather than inside, and I find great pleasure in spending time in nature and exploring the places around me. I love reading, cooking, and learning about new things. Being active is an important part of my life, so I am always finding new ways to exercise and new activities to try! Spending quality time with animals and children has always brought me joy, and been an important part of my life. I have chosen to build a career currently centred around childcare because I genuinely love being a positive role model and helping enrich the lives of families. I am an aspiring midwife, and very passionate about birthwork and continually learning more about health, parenting, development, and many other things. I understand the gravity of letting a "stranger" be a part of your children's lives, I will play a role their development and well-being. I want to find an opportunity where I will thrive and be able to enrich the lives of your children and treat them with great respect and love. I tend to be direct and open with those around me in all situations, and I appreciate others who can be the same way. Having a solid foundation of healthy communication and opportunity to build trust is essential. I find fulfillment in connecting with others and getting to know new people. I believe in respectful parenting, and fostering autonomy, learning, communication and emotional regulation skills, and having lots of fun! I have always been comfortable caring for children, as I am the oldest of a very large immediate and extended family. I have been helping take care of babies and children for as long as I remember. I have had experience working with children of all ages and abilities, and I absolutely love meeting new families and kids. Being naturally very energetic and nurturing allows me the ability to get along with children of all needs. I have continued to help out with childcare within my family, but also nannying and babysitting for several other families over the years as well (I am more than happy to provide references and more detailed information upon request). I have my own vehicle and valid driver's license (clean driving record), CPR and first aid certification (currently re-certifying), and I am happy to get a police background check done formally (upon request).
