My name is Brodi, I was born and raised in Vernon BC, but I am moving to Kelowna early September. I graduated from Vernon Secondary School in 2022 with honours and decided to take on the life of a nanny. I’ve always been a bit of a child at heart, I like to play and get creative. I love doing arts and crafts and exploring nature. On my own time I enjoy drawing and colouring, crocheting, and going on hikes. If I was brought into your home for childcare, I would be able to provide, a loving and bright attitude everyday, i would offer a helping hand with mom and dad with chores around the house, I can cook a healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner, and I would always be there for your child/children. Throughout last summer I spent my days nannying a 6 year old boy and an 8 year old boy. I would spend my days playing with cars with them, I would make them meals for breakfast and lunch, we would go biking or even go to the playground, and when school came back around I helped them with school work because they were home schooled for the first couple months of school. When the boys went back to school, I no longer continued to nanny then because their parents only needed me on weekends and I needed more hours so I began to work at Cactus Club Cafe. After working at Cactus Club Cafe, I started working for a lovely couple and their adorable baby boy, who was 8 months old at the time. I perform duties such as changing Ruxton’s dirty diapers, I prepare baby cereal and formula to feed him, I do the household laundry and dishes, and I put him down for naps and supervise on the nanny camera. Ruxton and me play games, read books, sing and talk together. I also enjoy taking Rux on walks in his stroller. I now work for a wonderful couple and their amazing baby, Goldie! Goldie and I go for stroller walks, we play in water toys, I push her on the swing, we read stories together and sing songs, and of course we play with their lovely dog Marshall . I have responsibilities such as, cooking her breakfast, lunch and dinner, changing her diaper and resetting her diaper station, folding her laundry, deep housecleaning, putting her to sleep, etc. Through this experience I have learnt about the joys of teething and how to safely supervise in baby-led weaning.
