Hello! I'm Melissa, a Canadian-born nanny with a deep-seated passion for children's education and welfare. I bring with me 15 years of experience working with children of all ages from newborns to those over 10 years old. I deeply believe in supporting children in every way possible to allow them to reach their full potential.
What sets me apart? In addition to being keenly available for evening shifts throughout the week, I have a rich educational background inclusive of First Aid and CPR Training, Special Needs Educator Certificate, College Child Education Courses, and Master's and Bachelor's Degrees. This means I am equipped to handle any situation that may arise and can provide an enriching and safe environment for your children.
I am enthusiastic about performing a variety of duties including cooking, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, and helping with homework. I have a knack for preparing new and unique meals, and also respect any special dietary rules your family might follow such as vegetarian, kosher, or lactose intolerance diets. Keeping the kitchen neat is of paramount importance to me; after all, tidiness is next to godliness, right?
Furthermore, I am very comfortable working with children with disabilities and best equipped at handling up to three children at a time. I hold true to my belief in the simple joys of life and the value of creating beautiful memories with the children I get to care for.
I am a single lady who cherishes family and exercises that in my passion for this line of work. During my free time, you will find me outdoor, basking in nature or in the kitchen, channeling my inner Master Chef.
In terms of my preferred job type, I am open to various arrangements such as being a Nanny, Babysitter, Nanny/Tutor, Virtual Babysitter, Mother's Helper, or providing care in a home daycare set-up. Overall, I am seeking a part-time role that lets me live-out as I also value my time with my family.
I am ready to start immediately! Can't wait to contribute to nurturing and growing your beautiful family.
I have previous experience as a babysitter along with working with children with special needs, camp counsellor and teaching experience.
