Hi there. I am a hard-working female interested in nannying this coming Fall and Winter. I would like to help be a part of the growing and learnings of children. I am a hair stylist who has recently finished a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Textile Design at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. I have taken an interest in art as education for the young minds to develop skills such as problem solving, social interactions and personal development. I have worked as a camp counsellor for seven years which brought me to be the person I am today. The skills learnt through summer camp provide youth with self-esteem, dedication, and social skills. All of which I would like to show and aid alongside developing minds. In the winter of 2015 I was a part-time nanny for a 15 month old until his 21st month in Halifax, NS In 2008 I volunteered with a pre-school with 3 and 4 year olds in a class of 10 in Kelowna, BC I have been working with youth in a summer camp setting from 2007-2012 in Halliburton, ON Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I have volunteered and worked alongside the Down Syndrome Society of Halifax with art programs and Reach for the Rainbow Ontario helping youth with disabilities participate fully in all forms of camping. I really enjoy working alongside children and adults with disabilities. I am hoping to further my career experience in community development and alternative modes of education best suitable for the child or youth.
