(Under construction!)
Hello! I’ve always been a caring and compassionate person, and have ended up in caretaking fields because I genuinely feel like I’m earning my little time on this planet by supporting and helping others.
My qualifications and experience are below, so first I’ll try to paint a picture of who I am and what having loved ones in my care might look like.
I’m a single female who is pretty active. Interests include healthy cooking, travel, photography, and building things. My current project is the conversion of a short bus into a tiny home on wheels, in which I’ll live with my dogs for a while.
I really enjoy (most!) people, and I particularly seek out the company of children, the elderly, and people with special needs. I gel particularly well with individuals on the autism spectrum and with ADHD.

I’ve been in the caretaking field for over twenty years. This has included positions as a personal support worker and rehab therapist, behaviour modification work, and private contract positions with families. In early years this involved primarily adults and vulnerable populations (individuals with TBIs, developmental delays, ASD/ADHD etc). In 2021, I began supporting children as well.
I have significant experience in most areas of caretaking. I have a bachelor’s degree in Animal Biology with a BioMed minor, which includes courses in nutrition, pathology, physiology, behaviour/ethology, as well as the core material. I have keen interests in both medicine and psychology, and I participate in continuing education to keep up to with the latest in the fields. I ran an animal rescue for 19 years and coordinated rehab programs for animals that had been abused, abandoned, neglected, and/or ill/injured.
I have been in caretaking roles for over 25 years, but for most of that it was with adults. I’ve done both personal support and rehab therapy and have significant experience in both behavioural and medical support. I’ve worked in group homes, lockdown facilities, and private homes contracted by family.
