My name is Leila, and I just finished my second year at Dalhousie University where I’m studying International Development and Sustainability. I grew up in Ottawa Ontario with my parents, my little brother, and our family dog, Oscar! I am passionate about social justice, the environment, family, hiking, camping and all things outdoors, music, crocheting, and more! I consider myself to be a highly empathetic, warm, and caring individual; traits that I especially carry with me into childcare, as I believe that kiddos should be provided a loving support system where they feel safe and are treated with respect and understanding. I currently work on the waterfront, and I am seeking part time work on the side. My schedule is quite flexible and I am happy to work mornings and nights! I have worked with children for quite some time, from occasional babysitting, to full-time nannying in the summer. I also have experience providing tutoring in math, English, and even piano, as well as volunteering as a camp counsellor. I’m most comfortable working with kiddos 3+.
