I am a Mom to a 31 year old son, Cody and a daughter in law Emily. I spend a lot of my free time with my family and extended family. We are all very close and enjoy each others company immensely. I played Women's Hockey as a starting Goalie from the age of 6 into my early 20's at a high competitive level. I played for Team Ontario, Sheridan College and Team Canada as well. I travelled all over Canada, USA and Europe playing hockey. An experience of a lifetime for me I will cherish always. My son was also a high level Hockey and In-line Goalie. He played for Team Ontario, Team Canada and professionally for Pittsburg Steele as a summer job as starting Goaltender during University. (Not my plan to have him in net but the boy knew at the age of 2 he was going to be a goalie. So I became his #1 supporter and Goalie mom.) My daughter in law is a competitive hockey player as well. I have worked in Home Daycare, Preschool, and as a Nanny. I have cared for all ages but gravitate towards the early years. The early years are so important to build a strong foundation for on which to grow upon. I have cared for 5 children under 5 in my Home Daycare in the past for over 14 years. I have experience with twins. Comfortable with Newborns. I believe in outdoor activity daily that is age appropriate and a confidence booster. This gives children the opportunity try out and master new and challenging skills. Play based learning is my passion. Using imaginations and learning while we play. I talk about everything we see. Colours, letters, numbers, direction, senses, nature... Everything is a learning opportunity.
