I am First Aid certified and am willing to obtain an up to date police check with vulnerable sectors screening. I enjoy doing arts and crafts and organizing new and fun activities to engage children and encourage their creativity, learning, and having fun. I am very enthusiastic, open-minded, and attentive, and I believe positive communication with children that makes them feel heard, safe, and valued is of the upmost importance. I am comfortable with pets and able to prepare meals, clean, and do laundry.

I have worked at a drop-in child care facility at One Health Clubs Oakville (fitness club) for two years consistently and an additional year as an infrequent supply staff. There, I cared for children aged 6 months through 12 years. I am proficient in changing diapers, bathroom assistance, bottle- and spoon- feeding infants and young children, maintaining a safe and tidy play area, and engaging with children of all ages. I have worked at the YMCA of Oakville summer camps for two summers as a group counsellor and then as an Enhanced Support Staff (ESS). As a group counsellor, I supervised groups of 8-10 children between the ages of 4 and 12, programmed activities, games, crafts, etc. each day, made sure my campers were practicing sun safety (drinking water, wearing hats and sunscreen), and engaged with my campers enthusiastically at all times. As an ESS, I acted as additional support for campers with additional needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome, as well as provided additional support to all campers whenever necessary. Moreover, I was full-time Nanny in Hamilton, ON between 2021 and 2022. In this role, I cared for twins between their first and second birthdays and their brother from age 3 to age 4. Most recently, I have worked as a nanny/tutor for two children between the ages of 6 and 12.

I have an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour from McMaster University.
