Dear Family, I finished my undergraduate degree in April this year (Bachelor of Arts with Distinction, major Psychology, minor English) and am now looking for employment, full or part time. I have worked in a kindergarten in the woods in Germany for 8 months and as a Nanny for four families in Edmonton for 5 years. I have worked in two different families with twin babies for altogether 3. 5 years and am confident providing care for children of all ages. Seeing children grow and flourish is my delight. I can provide you with excellent references from all former employers. For many years, I was a tutor for students across the disciplines (primary school to university) and am happy to support the children with their school work. Furthermore, I have theoretical knowledge about child development from a 6 months training course I took (and later taught) at TLC Edmonton (Training for Live-In Caregivers), as well as from my Psychology studies. I am responsible, organized, and sensitive. I love the outdoors, exercising, dancing, being creative, and of course: inventing fun spontaneous games with children. My availability: Part or full time now until the end of July. I am away in August, but available again in September. If you have questions, don't hesitate to e-mail me. I am looking forward to meeting you and your children. Warmly, Tina

For many years throughout primary, secondary and high school, I was a tutor and baby-sitter for children of all ages. After I completed high school, I worked in a kindergarten in the woods for 8 months and gained some valuable knowledge about child development and remedial intervention. Other than that, this was a fun and rewarding job: I spent my days outside in the black forest with a great team of kindergarten teachers and the kids. No day was like the other and we always came up with new and fun things to do. This experience had sparked my interest in child care and I decided to work as a Nanny when I came to Canada. I took the 6 months Caregiving Training in Edmonton and then worked for several great families in Edmonton. The first family relocated to Calgary after one year and since Edmonton is my home, I started to look for a new position. My second employer had 2 kids already and the mum was pregnant with twins. My first work day was the very day these little ones were born and it was love at first sight. I stayed with them for 3 years. What a great experience. I left this position in order to pursue my psychology studies. During my studies I worked for two other families. In the one family, I was taking care of a 6 year old girl over the summer and in the other families I cared for newborn twins once again. I recently completed my Bachelor of Arts/major psychology. During the last years I also taught interview skills at TLC Edmonton and was a tutor for university students in the Centre for Writers, UofA. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: My rate is $18 or $20 an hour, depending on whether you are willing to employ me
