Hello, I’m Laura! I am a go with the flow type of girl and am compassionate, loving, and responsible. Music is my biggest interest and my biggest hobby. I have been casually singing, playing guitar, and piano for as long as I can remember. Apart from my love for music, I also have a passion for reading and writing. Ever since I was a kid these have been ways for me to relax in a way that doesn’t involve technology. I also enjoy little crafts like drawing, collages, and painting! The outdoors are also something that I love very much. Especially in the summer months, I enjoy walks in the ravine, spending hours swimming in lakes, and just feeling the sun on my face and the breeze in my hair. I also did french immersion all through high school and have my DELF B2 certificate. If your child is taking french and you have a hard time helping them with homework, I would love to help with that too!

Being the oldest of 3 kids, I have been babysitting for a while, though I have been doing it “professionally” for a couple years. I just love the creativity, openness, and honesty of little ones. They have such a unique perspective of the world and I love seeing the world through their eyes. I have watched up to 3 children at once, with the youngest being around 2 years old. The main responsibilities for each job have been to keep the children safe and entertained for the duration of the time I was with them. I can cook and will always leave your home cleaner than you left it!

I am currently in my third year at the University of Alberta. I am working my towards a BA in Psychology and Sociology and am wanting to pursuit music therapy in the future.
