Hello, my name is Austyn and I'm a 19-year-old woman from Cumberland. A big part of my experience in child care comes from my upbringing in a small island town, where I had the joy of growing up in a large family with seven siblings. After graduating high school early and diving into a Bachelor of Science at the university, I decided to take some time off to better explore my goals and purpose. Throughout these years I've always been drawn to child care, having worked with children as a babysitter from an early age of 14, so it felt natural for me to continue to explore this realm.
I am capable of tending to several energetic children at once, caring for up to four or more kids, and have had the pleasure of taking care of children from different age ranges, being experienced with children aged 1-2 years, 3-5 years, 6-9 years, and over ten years. I can swim well so beach or pool days are safe and exciting times with me.
In addition to childcare, I'm happy to take on housekeeping duties like preparing meals, running errands, supervising other staff, organizing events, and even pet care if needed. I'm passionate about cooking and baking, so you can count on me to whip up tasty meals while keeping the kitchen always clean.
I am available to work throughout the week and weekends at any time of the day, whether it's mornings, afternoons, evenings, or even during the night. I am ready to start immediately and open to both travel and relocation if required.
I am predominantly looking for a live-in, full-time nanny role but am open to Nanny/Housekeeper, Nanny/Tutor, Mother's Helper, and Special Need positions if they match. I am also willing to work with children with special needs.
In addition to my hands-on experience, I'm a High School Graduate and have also attended College. I exclusively communicate in English and am willingly, and able, to acquire a police check if needed. Born and brought up in Canada, I am seeking to utilize my caring nature in a role where it's most needed. Looking forward to being of help in your home.
I have volunteered as an education assistant in kindergarten-3 classes working with special needs students before attending upper secondary school. With my current job position I have gotten my response adult certification and work with many children daily.
