Hi! My name is Missy. I've been living in the Cochrane area for a year and a half now, and am enjoying everything that this beautiful town has to offer. I myself am a proud mother of three daughters, a tween, a teen, and a young adult. I'm also a wife to the biggest comic book geek that I know. Having worked in health care for the better part of two decades, I love children, and have always enjoyed working with them and supporting their own individual selves. As a health care aide/personal support worker, I worked with children of all different ability levels, and truly cherished supporting them, weather that be assisting with therapies, or cheering them on at a sledge hockey game. I often say my best shifts at the hospital were the ones where I was able to work with babies and children, never having turned down a "Missy we don't have enough arms up here, do you mind helping with a baby?" I enjoy exploring the world around us, the beach and my fathers farm is my happy place. With my own children, I always attended the local library and playgroups, we were regular pass holders at the African Lion Safari. As an Aunt and a part-time care giver, I always found so much joy in taking other children to experience these places too. As a family we took many children to their first OHL hockey game, that was great fun! I am comfortable caring for your furry friends too! I am an animal person at heart, we have one super friendly mini schnauzer, a very spoiled black cat, and our newest adopted addition to our home is a 9 month old Calico kitten that we adopted as a "Wallflower" from the Cochrane Humane Society. They certainly like to rule the house. I have many different passions, such as baking, beach glass finding, crafting, reading(I belong to two local book groups), writing and cheering on the Guelph Storm.
