I am a mature, compassionate, and patient widow with a wealth of experience in caregiving and homemaking. As a proud mother to a 32-year-old son, my journey has been enriched by a lifetime of nurturing and caring for others. Living alone for many years, I've found joy in volunteering with the Chilliwack Hospice Society, an experience that further honed my caregiving skills through formal training.
My passions extend to gardening, horses, art, music, hiking, swimming, and reading, showcasing my diverse interests and love for life. I cherish the company of people from all walks of life and ages, reflecting my previous work with Nurse Next Door and my personal commitment to caregiving. Upon relocating to Chilliwack around 2010, I dedicated myself to assisting a 90 year old gentleman in his battle with end-stage cancer, providing not just laundry and light housekeeping services, but also companionship and support during hospital visits.
During my years as a partially stay-at-home mom, I embraced the role of caregiver not only for my young son but also for many of my friends' children, nurturing infants and youngsters with a gentle, fun, and understanding approach. The eldest among three sisters, I have been caring for babies since my preschool years, fostering a deep love for infants and young children. I believe in managing children's needs with kindness, patience, and a calm presence that puts both parents and children at ease.
I bring to any family not just my skills in caregiving, but also a kind heart and a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of those I care for. My diverse interests and ability to connect with people of all ages make me a versatile and dedicated caregiver, eager to bring joy and care into more homes.
