Hello! My name is Jade, and I am 17 years old. Currently, I am pursuing my grade 12 French immersion studies at Carleton Place High School. I have always had a passion for working with children and love being around their curiosity and energy. My experiences as a competitive athlete, coach, and swim instructor allowed me to develop valuable skills for child care. I am highly active and adaptable. I am also incredibly patient and kind, which are important traits when working with kids. In the summer of 2023, I worked as a co-lead of the Canoe Kids summer camp program, and also worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the Carleton Place Pool. These experiences further developed my passion for teaching and spending time caring for kids. Working in and around water has helped me develop awareness for potential hazards for children. I always prioritize safety and ensure that the children under my care are always in a secure, safe environment (while still having fun!). I look forward to speaking with you!
