My name is Shylo, I currently am unemployed and looking for a job that I feel better suits me (childcare). I have always loved being around children and find I am able to connect with each and every child in a unique and different way. I am enthusiastic, caring, creative, full of love, and a healer at heart. I am passionate, patient, and willing to put my all into something that I believe is worth putting my all into (your child/children). While I know it’s very hard to trust people online, I ask that you give me a chance, because I am capable and more than willing to do whatever it may be, to help you and your loved ones to the best of my ability. I am focused, and determined when it comes to things that I want, and I assure you that I will give nothing but my best to you, and your little one:) When I was just 14 I felt responsible for my bestfriends little brother (he was 1 when I first met him) and I took the responsibility of trying to make his life as easy and painless as possible. While I knew the outside world would try to bring him down I felt as though I could be the change in is life. I helped his mother with changing his diaper, feeding him, bathing him, and anything else at the time that I felt she needed help with. I was able to connect with him in a way that helped his well being and his mothers well being. While this was a very big responsibility, it didn’t feel like it because of the love and admiration I had for him. I grew with him until he was 4 years old and then unfortunately I wasn’t able to be in his life anymore. While this broke my heart into pieces at the time, now that I look back I know that it was not my responsibility to do what I was doing for him and it was his mothers. Now that I am 19, and sure of myself, and my capabilities, I want to do what I did for that child, for every child, and I know I can, if you learn to trust and work with me, I promise to give nothing but my best to you and your loved ones. I have babysat numerous ages of children for the people in my life. I have no preference for age although I don’t feel I’m ready for the responsibility of looking after a newborn on my own.

I am a married mother of twins, I homeschooled them both until grade 7; they now attend the local highschool. I did some brief in home childcare until mine were school age. My interests include art, reading, and getting out into nature. Fun fact, we lived in the greater Vancouver area until the twins were 5, at which time we relocated back to Ontario to be closer to family. Alas, my babies no longer need me to the extend they once did, so I’d love to lend my skills and time to my fellow mums/dads in need of support! Active Jobseeker
I’m a reliable, multilingual professional based in Ottawa, currently on an open work permit and actively seeking a long-term opportunity with an employer who is open to supporting an LMIA. My goal is to continue building my future in Canada through meaningful work that helps others. Though I’m not a trained caregiver yet, I bring a strong background in education and a genuine passion for helping people. I’ve been teaching English to children since I was 16, and I worked as a Head Teacher at a bilingual primary school, where I supported second-grade students both academically and emotionally. I also have personal caregiving experience from over a year of helping care for my mother and grandparents. I speak four languages, English, Spanish, French, and Italian, and I’m also a creative soul who loves painting and the arts. I'm an architect by profession. I believe in creating safe, supportive, and joyful environments for others, and I’m looking for a caregiving role within Ottawa where I can grow, contribute, and support a family in a meaningful way. I have previous formal experience as a Head Teacher for a second-grade classroom, where I was responsible not only for teaching but also for the day-to-day care, emotional support, and safety of my students. This role involved creating structured routines, managing group activities, and helping children grow both academically and personally. In addition to my teaching background, I’ve also provided long-term care for my mother and grandparents, supporting them with their daily routines, medication, meals, and companionship for over a year. That time taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of being attentive to someone’s emotional and physical well-being. While I may not have formal experience in a Canadian caregiving role yet, I bring real-life caregiving skills, a nurturing nature, and a strong commitment to adapting quickly to a family’s specific needs. I'm ready to continue learning and to provide high-quality, compassionate care.
