Working amongst children has always been a passion of mine. As I am going into my last year of my bachelors, I will be getting my masters in Clinical Psychology my end goal is to obtain my Bachelor of Education and Sociology in which I will teach elementary education.
Over the past year, I obtained my Level 1, Early Childhood Educator Certification with Alberta Child Care Staff Certification, where I had the privilege of working at Britannia Montessori Preschool and Daycare. There I taught and looked after children ages 2-5 years old full time. I also spent the past two summers nannying for families which has been a wonderful experience thus far.
I am a very active person who lives a healthy lifestyle including lots of physical activity outside as well as a healthy and balanced diet which I understand is immensely important for the growth and development of all children.
Roughly 3 years ago I was employed with a Summer Art Camp working amongst children in the age groups of 5 to 10.
Throughout 2020 and 2021 I had worked at Britannia Montessori Preschool as an Early Childhood Educator where I held the responsibility of lesson planning, teaching, and looking after the junior preschooler class (ages 2. 5 - 4 years old).
As I am studying to obtain my Bachelors of Psychology, I understand the importance for children to be raised with exemplary morals in an environment in which they will grow up to be intelligent and valued citizens of society. To have a balance of curiosity and creativity as well as discipline is crucial to their developmental growth, while a healthy balanced diet and physical activity is important to their physical growth, development, and overall happiness.
