I was an elite track & field athlete with Athletics Canada for ten years and in the summer of 2017, I retired from the world of athletics. I'm a two-time Paralympian and proudly represented Canada on the international stage numerous times. During my career as an athlete, I recognized my strong ability to adapt and thrive in rapidly changing fast-paced environments.
Following my graduation from the University of Guelph, I was employed by the YMCA as a children and youth programs instructor. Each program was unique and perfectly tailored to fit the specific needs of individual children, with the common goal of keeping kids safe, happy and healthy. This job refined my ability to be patient, adapt to circumstances, and actively listen to the concerns of families. As a caregiver, I approach tasks and challenges the same way - individualized care focusing on the unique nature of every person and situation.
From April 2019 - September 2019 I worked as a full-time Nanny for a wonderful family with two young children, ages 1 and 3 respectively. My responsibilities included but were not limited to: housework, meal prep and overall care. I've been working full-time as a Nanny/Mother's helper here in Calgary since early 2020 but I am looking to take a step back and work part-time for the foreseeable future.
