Hello! My name is Mariam . I am currently 18 years old and I am pursuing my passion for biology as a student at the University of Saskatchewan. Born and raised in the city of Calgary, returning there every year from the end of April to the start of September. Throughout my life, various roles have molded my personality and fostered my growth. Apart from being a loving daughter and a supportive sister to my family, I have played the role of a soccer coach and an academic tutor in the past which has given me a chance to give back to my community while also enhancing my leadership skills. In the present, I continue to embody my love and knack for soccer as an active player on the field. My journey with the sport started when I was just a kid and has stayed consistent, proving to be not only a stress reliever but also a way to keep fit and build my teamwork skills. When not on campus or the soccer field, I indulge in various hobbies. These include reading, where I dive into different worlds and narratives, expanding my knowledge and perspective. Staying active with different sports has always been a crucial part of my routine, contributing to a balanced lifestyle and keeping me rejuvenated. I cherish the soothing qualities of music and am also a keen enthusiast of the arts, embracing any chance of appreciating it in day-to-day life. My varied interests and commitments shape my daily life, providing a balance between academia, sports, and arts while also bringing joy and enriching experiences.

I worked as a soccer coach/teacher for two years for Little Kickers. I was located in Calgary and did classes all around the city. I worked with groups of kids (roughly 15 at a time) ranging in age from 18 months to 8 years old. My job was focused on education, not only in sports but in general communication/interaction between children, and in child care.
