My name is Brittany and I am looking to find a family who will fulfill my dream job in childcare! I am an active, outdoorsy, creative gal who also enjoys slowing down and enjoying my surroundings. My ideal day includes movement, sensory play, reading stories/music, exploring new things, baking and cooking meal/snacks, along with engaging with nature when the weather permits! I have 8 years of nannying experience and working as an Early Childhood Educator. I have worked various positions including; preschool teacher, One on One support aid, and health care aid. I am compassionate, open minded, patient, quick on my feet and a self starter. I strive to create a safe space for children to be 100% themselves. I truly believe getting down at the childs level allows for a child to gain that feeling of a safe space. I have gained knowledge and experience using various different childcare curriculums and philosophies to enhance early childhood development such as Reggio and Montessori. I believe exposure to a blend between the two supports early childhood development the best, as each covers different areas of development in their own unique creative ways. To sum up the dream I have, is it to find a family who is looking for a nurturing, creative environment. Getting out of the house into the community (YMCA for example) and nature, meeting new friends and socialize with our peers their ages, building on their interests and learning through play (even if we get a little messy)!
