In terms of myself I am someone who is very compassionate and easygoing but also firm when necessary. I do have a family of my own. We love the outdoors and travelling. I love music, cooking and baking, as well as arts and crafts. I am an avid reader and love culture. I am very positive and upbeat and believe in positive discipline and reinforcement in a child's life. I am a fairly low technology person and prefer to spend time outdoors when weather permits and coming up with age appropriate activities and crafts for time spent indoors. Other than English I speak French fluently as I am of francophone descent and also speak and understand Spanish at a conversational level.

I am an nanny and respite caregiver who is interested in returning to work as a nanny and am seeking an amazing family to connect with. I recently relocated back to Calgary after residing in Ontario. Rest assured, however, previously lived in Calgary for many years and am very familiar with the city. I returned to Ontario some years ago to complete a program in social work and am a registered social service worker. In addition to the educational experience, I have had just shy of 25 years of experience working with children of all ages (from newborn to adolescent). This vast experience comes from babysitting since the age of 12, raising my own beautiful children, as well as working as a nanny and respite caregiver for several years. Within this experience I have also had the opportunity to work with special needs children. Beyond the work and academic experience I am also someone who truly enjoys working with children and their families. In terms of job specific details, I have cared for up to 4 children at once, completed a variety of household management tasks including light housekeeping, cleaning, meal prep, groceries, running errands, etc. I have also provided transportation to preschool, school, and activities, as well as provided homework assistance. Respite care included direct one to one care and supervision, medication administration and management, following of a strict medical diet, as well as working in tandem with other involved professionals. I should note that I am seeking a live-out position and mainly interested in Monday to Friday work however I may be available for occasional weekend work. Additionally, although I am interested in a live-out position, I would be available for occasional travel as well, if this was a need of the family with which I am working.
